Tour dé TRIUMF in British Columbia, Canada

Taking a step into the world of science (particle physics to be precise), thanks to the TRIUMF lab nestled in the University of British Columbia campus.

How did I end up there?

While I was in Vancouver, Canada to attend Neural Information Processing Systems Conference I was keen to utilize that week for a bit of touristing as well. It was my first time at NeurIPS and overall the experience was overwhelming [Read my NeurIPS 2019 recap]. But, what’s the point of traveling abroad if not for sight-seeing? During one such deep dives in the social media to find “must-do” activities in Vancouver, I bumped into this tweet from Vancouver Tourism.

Thanks to a fellow NeurIPS attendee Prabhu Pradhan for organizing this event
